Day in the Life Photography

MY PHILOSOPHY IS TO KEEP THINGS AS TRUE TO EVERYDAY LIFE AS POSSIBLE—NO FILTERS, NO PROPS, NO CHOREOGRAPHY. THE DAY IN THE LIFE SESSION AIMS TO CAPTURE SOME OF THE PHASES OF LIFE THAT YOU THINK WILL LAST FOREVER (BOTTLES, TANTRUMS, HOMEWORK), BUT PASS IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. I CAPTURE YOUR FAMILY JUST THE WAY IT IS AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME OF LIFE.

How does it work?

You go about your day and I photograph you living, capturing those fleeting, beautiful moments so easily forgotten. I provide minimal direction, if any. The kids (and the adults!) are free to run around, cry, and be their goofy, loving selves. Most families don’t break out the matching plaid shirts for breakfast, so I wouldn’t expect that here—unless that’s what you do, in which case, let’s capture it! I also discourage a home straight out of Pinterest for the day. The goal of the Day in the Life session is real life, dirty dishes and all. Some of my favorite pictures from my childhood are of my dad and me cooking Saturday breakfast in our pajamas. (see about me for actual image)

What will you get?

“At the end of the day, you’ll be given your story, a snapshot of your life, made up of all of those little things—the smiles, the looks, the hugs—that you don’t notice during the grind of every day. You will be able to see your life as it is, how you have lived and how you have loved, your way. You will see that your imperfections are actually what make you perfect.

Packages start at $195 and range from 2 hours to 24 hours”
